Well Image & Metadata Filter Improvements

August 30, 2026
Stitched View Now Persists Across Plates

The stitched (montage) view toggle on the plate page used to reset every time you navigated to a new plate. It now stays on as you move between plates in the same session, so you don't have to re-enable it each time.

384-Well Confluence Overlay Fixed

Selecting the Confluence (%) overlay on a 384-well plate used to blank every well, showing a "Not Imaged" indicator across the board even when the plate had been imaged. Wells without a confluence value now fall back to their normal image instead of losing it, so the overlay shows accurate confluence coloring only where it truly applies and continues to display well imagery everywhere else.

Sharper Well Image Exports Across Browsers

Downloaded well image exports weren't reliably applying the sharpening you see on screen, with inconsistent results between Safari and Chrome. Exports now compute the correct geometry for the visible region in both browsers, so sharpened exports match what's shown in the viewer.

Behind-the-Scenes Fixes & Tweaks

•

Sprite regeneration no longer shows a false "Retry" for sprites that are still generating in the background.

•

Navigating between wells keeps the current image on screen while the next loads; exports are blocked with an explanation when the shown image doesn't yet belong to the well in view.

•

The metadata range filter's Apply button now validates values in real time and stays disabled until entries are valid.

•

Well images with the FFT filter enabled now show a loading indicator until the filtered image is ready, and load faster when navigating between wells.

•

Metadata download links now stay valid for as long as your session credentials do, preventing broken-download errors after credential rotation.
