Fixed Ghosting in Stitched Well Montage Images

July 13, 2026

Some stitched well montages showed a doubled or "ghosted" feature where two image tiles met, caused by how the previous stitching approach anchored each tile to its already-placed neighbors. Montages are now aligned with a global solve that weighs every tile's overlap at once, spreading out any inconsistency instead of concentrating it at one seam — so stitched images render cleanly even when a seam's alignment is ambiguous.
