Montage capture support is no longer limited to a small, fixed catalog of tile shapes. The platform now accepts a much wider range of rectangular tile arrangements — like a 2×10 grid — within existing per-well and per-plate capture limits, rather than requiring a backend release for each new recipe geometry. This opens the door to instruments that capture non-square montage grids — like Keyence microscopes. Ingestor-side support rolls out per instrument; reach out if your capture hardware produces non-standard tile layouts.
The model powering the assistant can vary based on internal routing and ongoing experimentation with different providers. Document and spreadsheet attachments — DOCX, CSV, and XLSX — are converted to text before reaching the model, so there's no reason support should depend on which model is active. These formats now work consistently across every model, so uploads keep working smoothly as we continue experimenting with model options behind the scenes. Image and PDF attachments still depend on specific model support, since those are sent directly as binary data.
Single-well dish plate captures can now be ingested and viewed on the plate page, with per-well sprite imagery.
